Piezo Threesome

Finally got all three of my piezo basses together in one place. Thought I'd produce a little bit of fretless porn.

Rob Allen Deep 5 in Koa
Rick Turner Renaissance 4 in sycamore
Rick Turner Renaissance 8 in flamed myrtle

That is quite the collection!

What's your thoughts on a comparison? I know they're all different in string configurations, just in general. Any preference?

The Deep 5 is my favorite...perfect balance of sweet and growl (but from your signature picture you probably know that: is that a blonde Deep 5?).

I've recently switched the Turner 4 from thomastik acousticore to labella black tapes--Im really enjoying its tone. I find the Turner records very well.

The fretless 8 is a bit over the top for straight forward performance...best used sparingly.
