I asked about this earlier in another thread . since then i've become more interested in it. i'm seeing the whole 12 tones of the scale are available .
I feel guilty ( lazy ) asking, but is there a book / teacher / player , that deals with this in some detail ?
"guilty", because it seems i should just find out for myself .
my sax teacher taught a "who's who" of sax players ( i'm pretty sure mike brecker ) This teacher was amazing. he had you playing many of the higher harmonics - 4th 5th 6th 7th partials etc
it's like playing the sax with completely different fingerings
it's so cool to play a note with an overtone that you normally would play without the overtone
i am suggesting it's a whole study in itself
thanks
