I have a USA Fender Jazz that I bought used. I'm not 100% convinced it's all original, but the neck at least is from 2006, and Fender shows the serial number as being a Highway One model.
I have an odd problem with the G string: the pitch is not clear and clean, as if there are two pitches slightly out of tune with each other when it's initially plucked, and then it settles into one. It's especially noticeable above the 12th fret, but also true lower.
This problem persists with different set-up adjustments, intonation adjustments, strings, even changing out the vintage-style bridge for a Hipshot KickAss.
Any ideas?
