...IMO this really hurts the local scene, good or not....NEVER low ball or undercut your fellow musicians. Not all of us have good day jobs, some folks rely on this to pay the bills.[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
Is this band?
I hate to be the guy who says this.....butNot all of us have good day jobs, some folks rely on this to pay the bills.
If they're not very good, why are folks hiring them??I can see this working if you only do it once for any location. What you don't want to do is ruin the market you are in. Here where I am, there is a band that lowballs everyone. They will play for $100. Not $100 each, $100 FOR THE WHOLE BAND! They aren't very good, but they work a lot at the less picky venues, pushing down the prices for everyone else.
Or be one hellova band!I hate to be the guy who say this.....but
If your a musician, and are looking to supplement your financial obligations by playing out......you should have picked a different career path

We have no quarrel
with those who sell for less.
They should know better better
than anyone else what their
junk is actually worth.
Idiots don't realize they're hurting every single person in the industry.
Hobbying dentists and lawyers maybe?
