Play guitar, get laid. Play bass, be celibate.

Around these parts, girls go mad for the bass player. They want a guy whos more interested in a good rumble than masturbation.

I've never been to Northern Ireland, but I did spend four months in Dublin several years ago. I agree with your comment about the Irish being appreciative of bass. Why it isn't more like that in the U.S., I don't know. But when I was in Dublin, I noticed the different attitude toward bassists immediately.

Funny though, I was practising in class with my band and there where other bands too and everytime when we played the same song over and over again someone told me that it was never twice same (Hmm... the guitar and organ plays the same stuff over and over again) and then there was some getard who told me that that the bass doesn't has any value to music...

Also I was late for class and the band practised without me for 15 minutes and they told me it sounded like crap and they were insecure if they played correctly or not... Boy where they happy when I arrived. :D

Ps. excuse my broken English, I'm Dutch. :p

I've never had any issues with getting attention from the ladies. We had a party at my old guitarist's place (where we practiced) and I was out in the garage playing some Tool and like 5 or 6 girls from the party came out and were asking me to play some stuff. Then later on the guitar player went out and all the girls left when I did.

I've actually found the ladies to be very much attracted to the bass side of things musically. I never lacked for opportunities to meet and talk with the
ladies as a bass player. As far as how personal relationships work and proceed from such opportunities that's an individual matter, unique in every
situation, and I'll leave it at that.

You guys make me crack up. You're probably right, Relic. There's a girl at my school both me and my guitarist like, but i think she'll end up dating me eventually because i'll make a real confercation (did i spell that right?) instead of my guitard becuase he just talks about: "Oh, after selling my Jacksons, i'm going to get a PRS, then a Robot Gibson, then sell the Robot..." Besides, he has acne and i don't :D
