Yeah, but the Beatles tunes on that album aren't that hard - I mean they have lots of weird noises and stuff - but the basic song structures in most cases are very simple - how many chords does "Day in the Life" have?

That's true, the songs are not that complex. But if you only listened to the album once, would you still remember how the songs go the next day, and be able to sing them all? I wouldn't, after just one hearing.

And that's why he's remembered as a genius and nobody has heard of you!

Seriously though - I have met Jazz musicians, as I keep saying, to whom pop songs seem very predictable and who can sing you or play you back any number of songs after just hearing them once.
