I've recently been asked to play for a band who play in drop C but have decided to keep my bass in standard C as i prefer the positioning of the notes. for this i have bought a set of D'addario EXL160-5 strings and use the B (135) E (105) A (85) and D (70) strings. From here they are all tuned half a step up to C F A# D#. It appears to be quite unusual to tune to this and to use the strings in this way... are there any obvious problems i should encounter?

Usually for C standard users use lighter gauge sets.
Really the only string that is too tight in your set is the 70. I suggest getting a 60 to replace it.
That will salvage what you have..
Ideally I would go 130 100 75 60 something like that for C standard.
