Playing thru the PC I want to use a mic too. Advice needed

Hi all,
Let me put you on context. When playing/practicing at home I use the bass connected to a Fender Rumble 40 combo and its headphone output to the PC line-in connector. I use Windows 10 Pro and Audacity to play along and hear the MP3-bass mix through monitor headphones attached to the PC headphone out. In my band I use to do backing vocals and I have my own mic and cable.

Which audio interface [should buy/could you recommend me] in order to play and sing at the same time (and record both) like when I'm with the band? Of course I'm totally lost, so I need some good advice

My requeriments are:
* Keep my current setup as it is. I have EQ'd the Rumble to my [headphones] taste and the way I've all connected is very simple and allows me to record my bass in Audacity.
* Be able to "mix" the mic same as with the bass, so I could record both.
* Available connections in the PC are the mini-jack back inputs and USB2.0-3.0 ports

I've seen some audio interfaces but I don't know if this "record rig" will work or not. So any advice is welcome.

The Focusrite Scarlett two-input unit - mine is the "2i/2" - will allow you to use a microphone in one channel and a line source in the other. USB interface to the computer. Has worked well for me.

Any interface with 2 or more inputs, at least one of which is an XLR in for a mic, will work.

After reading your replies and read the Scarlett user/tech guide (trully fool-proof and plug and play as I've read), I've ordered the basic "Solo 2nd Gen". I think is enough for me. One mic and one instrument input. That's all I need.

The solo has two inputs but only one preamp. So you can't record two separate signals with it. It's going to sum your microphone and bass signals into one signal and you'll never be able to separate them again. If you get your levels even a little bit wrong when you record yourself there's nothing you can do about it. You have to rerecord everything.

So if that's going to be a problem for you you should think about spending a bit more to get the one with 2 preamps.
