Playing With A Pick

As a guitarist by trade I prefer to play with pick.. And think the sound cuts through the mix better in some cases.. But.. For slower acoustic a revert to fingers.. Are there no felt type picks !? I think there are.. Maybe that's a compromise !! A pick but with less percussion ?
