Please explain the origin of your user name

Im a huge Stephen King fan and loved the novella " Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption"
And considering the prison was close by where i used to live and when i was new to everything in computers i used the name shawshank for everything to make it easy.
But someone at talkbass beat me to it so i had to use 72 my birth year.

My last name is spelled M-O-N-N-O-T, and is pronounced maun-aut (sorry, Jazz Ad - it's been Americanized). But invariably people pronounce it like the French painter's name Monet, so I just went with it. Hence the "Water Lillies" bass in my avatar.

Went with some friends a LONG time ago to see a movie - Hollow Man, in fact.

There was the standard series of "upcoming" movie posters along the side of the theater, including an advertisement of "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius". Someone in my little crowd piped up and said, "Hey Tim, look, shouldn't it be TIMMY Neutron, Boy Genius?" Ostensibly because I'm smart and stuff. :ninja:

Anyway, another of the crowd poked the bear and says, "More like Neurotic Tim!" Possibly because I'm neurotic. Or because I'm not. I'm not quite sure on that point.

Anyway, the name stuck, and eventually I created a hotmail account. Then a bunch of other sites. Then came Talkbass, and all the cool, bass-related names were taken.
