Please explain the origin of your user name

Electro Motive Division Special Duty refers to what used to be General Motors locomotive building division + SD which is/was their 6 axle locomotives. I have been a train/model railroad buff for some time. A very good friend is an engineer. It's just become habit to use it in various versions over the years and is usually readily available especially on non-railroad sights.

My old account with TB was under 'fingerstyle' and this was also my user name on the Musician Forums/MX forums; not bad forums when they were up and going and had lots of good members.

But then I dropped off the face of the planet, forgot my username and the email I used to sign up, and so I created a new one on TB that was just my real name. But then I started university teaching and noticed my students were googling me quite a bit (I have an Academia.edu webpage that tells you when you're Googled), so I changed my username here to 'punkjazzben'.

Obviously, my name is Ben, and the reference is to both Jaco in general, and to the two music genres I grew up playing and loving.

Scuba diving with about twelve 8' sharks off the N.C. coast. I was taking videos and asked the captain of the boat if I could go down before the other divers so they wouldn't scare them ( the sharks) away before I got the video. He said "I don't care if you wanna be sharkbait."
130 is the depth in feet that I am certified to dive to. (N.A.U.I. advanced certification) Deepest I have ever actually been was 124 feet.
