Please Help! - My new dingwall is having a weird issue (video inside)

When I plug my bass in, there is a swell in volume instead of it going to full output immediately. This happens on both active and passive modes in all pickup positions. I took a look at the output jack and it looked like it had one bad connection. I re-soldered it but the issue is the same. Ive also tried multiple cables (same brand and model though) and different ports on my audio interface (AxeFX3)

Problem is the strings are not wide enough!

But seriously, is this your first active bass? Every time you unplug it, you are shutting down the preamp. Plugging it back in turns it back on and it takes a few seconds for it to ramp up. That's so it doesn't all come on at once and blow out your ears and/or amp.
