Please Help: What bass is this?

Don't know the brand but it looks decent and I'm thinking of purchasing

Looks pretty generic, almost certainly an import. Doesn't even look like the headstock has a logo. Might be decent, impossible to say. Not bad looking though - how much do they want?

Welcome to TalkBass!!!

Looks like a homebrew....albeit a pretty good one (first impression).

The determining factors would be playability, neck stability, and price. If you don't yet play, please have a bass player play it for you.

Probably worth somewhere around that, wouldn't chase it up too much higher though, but that's just me.

And, upside down fingerboard inlays. Was this a Monday or a Friday Epiphone? :roflmao:

For me, it really is hard to tell. The block inlays, pickguard, and control layout suggest Epiphone, but the body shape and headstock do not. But then, why would anyone want to cut down an Epi? The results could have been achieved with any number of other instruments.

It's an unknown quantity.
Bit of a gamble.
It's up to you to decide at what dollar amount a good bet becomes a bad bet.
Not the end of the world, but the little things would bug me.

Not to mention four jazz pickups?
The thing is, you can buy a brand new bass for less...and I'm talking a good bass with a good track record.
