It is refreshing to hear about such care, concern, compassion and the gift of giving. I have had either dealings or correspondence with all those who have shown their support for another Mike. I am proud to be a supporting member of this site. Talk Bass has given me the opportunity to meet some outstanding people, has allowed me to share my faith in God and Jesus, and above all it has allowed me to hear stories as Mike's and Adrian's that help restore my faith in the human spirit of compassion, caring, sharing and giving that many times seems to be disappearing from our society.
Congradulations Mike, first for being able to comeback from the face of adversity, my prayers are with you for your full and continued recovery. Keep the faith it's coming back. secondly on being the reciepient of a gift of such love and compassion, I have read many of your post and you come through as a man of integrity, and finally your gift of music is inspiring listing to the clip of you playing Tom's Skjold caused me to become the proud owner of a Skjold of my own. my only regret is that I didn't have the opportunity to participate with such a fine group of guys that caused this to happen.

Blessings, to you and all those that are making this come to pass.

Mike, great to hear that things are looking up for you and you are getting to go back to work. All the best to you and your wife!

On a side note... This is a great community of bassists we all belong to, we should be pretty proud of being a part of it. Back when Kevin Brubaker's shop caught fire, we all pulled together... tools, $ and other resources were donated in effort to help get him back on his feet and building again. The following month or so afterwards Bass Player did a short blurb about our efforts and how this online community 'pulls together'.

Thank you Mike Winnen and each of you that are involved!

This is absolutely wonderful!

Mike: I didn't know you were ill. I've been away from Talkbass for a couple of months. I'm glad you are recovering. I've always enjoyed your posts.

You guys are amazing! This is such a great place to be on the internet!

I've just reread what I wrote, and it just doesn't give the due credit to what's been done here. Absolutely wonderful!

Just today, my wife asked me, "Why do you visit this site everyday? You don't really need any more advice on your gear.". You all just answered her. This is a fantastic story, and you all are fantastic people. Truly restoring my faith in humanity.

Just a great big "WOW" to all of you.
