Best 40 bucks I ever spent. The only pedal that always stays in my bag. Useful for bass, guitar and synth/organ. It really pushes the amp front end if that's what you are looking for.

My passive bass puts out lower output, I'm just wanting a little boost to get a little more volume out of my Mesa subway head. Basically i just need a little more to drive the gain stage a bit ,so I don't need to turn it up as much to get volume..I'm not talking about crazy boost just a little..
Please recommend a bass guitar boost pedal that's no frills, quiet and under 100 bucks.
?
For the First Time in History, the Lobster is wrong with the dogma. I wouldn't have thought it possible as I rely on Lobsters reviews! My first thought is that if you need more volume, the problem is that you need either a more powerful amp or, more likely, more speaker area. If you're already maxing out the input gain and output volume on the amp, boosting the input with a pedal will likely cause clipping and/or overpower your speaker(s).
You have me confused with a different crustacean. @LowEndLobster's errorless streak continues. For the First Time in History, the Lobster is wrong with the dogma. I wouldn't have thought it possible as I rely on Lobsters reviews!
I'm going to just use my Aguilar compressor for a little extra.
Oh! I Did Not Know That. I hope your tail is notched so you will never be cooked (although by the bright red color maybe you have been served, literally) Anyway my advice was for people using multiple basses of different outputs, if it's just one bass I'd use the amp's own pre and master volume, set and forget. You have me confused with a different crustacean. @LowEndLobster's errorless streak continues.
Me, I'm wrong all the time.
Apparently a more exotic (or perhaps less educated) part of the British Isles than where I’ve been. ;-)
Ha!! Don't laugh I've played with an older guy keyboard player that's his chair! , I laugh everytime I see him show up, it looks like it's from the 50s lol..
