The teal is definately the better looking bass but tonally im more of a rosewood guy.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm glad I went with the teal one. I'm not totally sold on ash yet, but given my style of play, I'm sure I'll be impressed. I've learned from reading the boards that maple goes well with ash so I figured what the hell. I'll let you all know how it plays and sounds relatively soon.

i've played one exactly like the teal, i was only beginning, but still, amazing bass. such a tonal range, and i probably couldn't pick up on half of it at that stage!
