plugging 2nd cab in the OUT of EV b215m

Hi I just picked up an EV b215m (4ohm) which has an OUT next to the input.

Question: if I plug my (4ohm) brx 2x10 into this Output on the b215m will everything still stay at 4ohm and just share the total power of my amp? (daisy chain?)

I could always plug my new cab into the 2nd output of my amp at a 2ohm load but I think 4ohm would be better right?

My amp brx500 runs the same 500 watts into either 4 or 2 ohms.

daisy chaining will most likely result in a 2 ohm load. i don't know that the second connector on your cab is in parallel, but it almost certainly is. looks like either way, you're showing your amp 2 ohms.
running the same full range signal through cabs with different sized drivers isn't very highly recommended, i'll add. also, the 2x10 and 2x15 will split the power evenly, leaving the door open to hurt the 2x10's drivers before the 2x15 drivers really get working, so there's that also.

The 2x10 is rated at 600watts while the 2x15 is 400 watts so Im thinking half of total power in each would be ok??

Since either setup would be a 2 ohm load which way would be ideal- daisy chain or 2nd cab into amps 2nd output? Im guessing the latter??

personally i prefer to use amp outputs only when possible, but i'm not sure it really matters.
be careful with the low end of the eq, though, and definately keep the 2x10 on the top. watts ratings don't tell you anything about how much or how little high-powered low end a cab will take. keeping that 2x10 on top will put it closer to your ears, making it easier to hear if you're stressing it.

So I finally used my B215m in a band setting. Powered by my Carvin bx500 with an RPM pre. Awesome tone!!
but.... it wasnt til I stacked my brx2x10 on top that it really came alive!!! Set at 2ohms it was LOUD and WAY louder than just the 2x15 by itself. Actually had to turn down for the first time ever.
Everyone commented on how much louder it was and that I didnt have a problem being heard any longer :)
I didnt think the 2x10 would make that much of a difference in volume besides being taller (closer to my ears) but I was wrong. It was way louder everywhere in the room and just punched through! Me happy!!

Anyways just thought Id share the outcome.

You're probably pushing the 2x15 to near max. As you pump in more power the speakers are making more heat with the extra power rather than extra sound. This is called power compression.

Divvying up to two cabs makes the 500w more efficient.

It would be a mistake to get a more powerful amp for those cabs.

Normally a solid state amp will put out more power as the impedance load drops but that amp is limited to 500W at 2Ω. That is a class D amp and apparently it has output current limiting circuitry set to a maximum of about 16A.

I was surprised too. Ive been using the 2x10 alone and just picked up the b215m a week ago.
The 2x15 is louder than the 2x10 and sounds better and fuller too. I just was curious to hooking them both up together so when I did (after playing just the 2x15 on its own for a few hours) the extra loudness was very noticeable. Like night and day!
Havent opened up the 2x15 yet to take a look inside and see whats actually in it. This was the first time I played it in a band setting. It is rated for 400 watts.
I understand the 2x15 should be better on its own and the 2x10 was never 'this loud' on its own but one thing for sure- when they were both hooked up together they pumped more volume without touching the settings.
