You said that people get hired because of their minority background, just so that employers aren't seen as discriminatory. What a load of rubbish!

The poorest people on this planet could survive very comfortably on the food we throw away every day in the first world. If you feel discriminated against, I suggest you go be a coffee farmer in Africa or a seamstress in China. Then you can come back here and :bawl:

He's probably referring to a case which has been in the News in the UK recently, where the British Police Force have admitted that they could effectively be accused of discriminating against white males - due to their policy of giving preference in recruiting, to women and members of ethnic minorities ...

So - many white male applicants have been turned down, simply because of that fact...:hmm:

Tell me about it. Like I have said before, lots of people on this forum seem, SEEM angry. Now don't start attacking me...it's just my observation/opinion.

Why, im pointing out actual fact that has been documented in the media? Ohhh, because the news doesnt make everyone happy lets not talk about it, it'll go away on its own :scowl:

You're pointing out an actual fact that should be pointed out somewhere else. The issue here is that the topic is "somewhat" controversial. Those kinds of topics (we'll call them "political") are not to be posted in the Off Topic forum per the rules of the site that you agreed to when you registered. Included in those guidelines was something about openly questioning the moderators.

When those guidelines are ignored, the moderators usually step in. Now, I'm a little dense, but I think Blackbird gave you fair warning a few posts ago.

So, to recap: the forum has (for the most part) remained silent about the "actual fact" that you brought to our attention because the discussion does not belong here, not because the entire membership is clueless as to how racial relations in the world will ebb and flow over time. Enjoy what I imagine will be somewhat lengthy suspension. See ya when the chocolate eggs go on sale.
