I've always been in favour of pushing the line. After all, if no one ever pushed the line, the world would never change. Emmeline Pankhurst moved the line, so did Rosa Parks. Not that I'm equating poop-loops with either of them, but if we all just accepted the status quo then we'd never move on. Copernicus didn't know where the line was, nor did Columbus. If not for people like that we'd all read the bible in Latin, listen to the church as the main scientific authority and be sitting in caves on a flat Earth eating rocks.

The difference between The "pushing the line" you're defending and the people you're using as examples is that they actually got off their duffs and did something for a reason. Comparing that to a kid's cry for attention on a web forum is exaggerating a bit, I think.
