Ah, but do you know of the Shaggs in the first place, their back story? That’s why, on reflection, I had second thoughts about how “strange” the performance was...it wasn’t, considering the source material. They were simply being a dutiful, if not tongue-in-cheek, tribute band. They weren’t adding anything to what the Wiggins sisters did, ‘weird’ or not. And, while it’s almost impossible to recreate what they did, that bunch in the video is not the only ensemble who have attempted it. Yes, believe it or not, there are other covers..,
