Oops! Forget to mention what this bass is. It's a custom 5 string fretless made by Abe Rivera in I believe 1987 (might've been '88, I can't remember exactly). Unbelievable craftsmanship, right down to the hand carved knobs. There's even a heart carved into the back of the headstock with "Paz y amor" engraved above it.
My latest, quite the looker I think. She plays and sounds as good as she looks too, btw.
Some others I've owned over the past 2 years, all quite lovely and nice players, wish I could keep 'em all....

It's not as fancy as many posted here, but my tastes do run towards the minimalist-end-of-things. That being said, here's My Sexy Beast, the one that pushed me into buying my first bass.

Here's my '76 P that I saved from a life buried in the back of someone's closet. It was covered in funk and grime and had a BAII bridge on it. I restored her to her former glory, put a '62 Original RI pup in her, a 60's style bridge and scored some original covers and an original case. Now she's legit!
Use to be a green Ibanez 506 'till I rolled my van three times and found it laying in the ditch beside me. Amazing what you can do with a band saw, a sander, an India ink pen, some urethane, some Bartollinis, & some imagination;-)
Wish I had a better picture of this one... I think the F-5E is one of the best looking non-custom basses out there.
That is astonishing...fantastic work, and easily the best looking SR500 series bass I have ever seen.
Everyone can stop right now. This is just going to devolve into people posting their own basses anyways.
