I think this is beautiful. Without the plastic conduit and sliding things, I really love the shape and finish.

However, just by the looks, I guess it is probably three times my budget for a car, never mind a bass!!

(BTW, does it remind anyone else of a starship trooper?)

Those are Ebows on gooseneck metal tubing.

I pointed it out, because it's so noteworthy. I've never seen anything like that before.

I have to wonder whether the goosenecks move when the bass is shaken around, and whether the piezos pick up on the creaking when they are adjusted. Is the bass functional in a practical way, or is it more of a concept build?

I wonder this myself. It must be a trip to play with those e-bows mounted on it. You could definitely get some wicked chords going, or hold a low note and solo over it. If I know how those contraptions work, never actually gotten to play with one.

I don't own a rail. I've always been intrigued by them, as I think the design is very clever. But I couldn't bring myself to cough up $400-ish for a bass I wouldn't likely play on stage.

I was going to say that it looks like what you'd see hanging on the wall of the UFO when you wake up after being abducted to become dinner on some distant planet!

I just absolutely LOVE it! But having played around with EBows for some time I'm guessing as an intrument rather than a decorator item, it is crap.
