See #62. Mine had been on the streets for a year, and was a day from being put down. When my son was younger, my wife was worried about him walking those dogs alone. I told her, are you kidding? No nut would go near them, and the dogs would make sure nothing happened.

Pete (lab) and Gonzo (beagle)

Pete is 3, got him when his owner got sick and Pete was way too much energy for him.
Gonzo is 5-ish, got him from a shelter. He's deathly afraid of everything, a plastic bag on a threshold will stop him from entering a room. He shadows Pete mostly.

This cat is dead. Found him in a Taco Bell parking lot. He thought he was a dog and was vying with Gonzo to be Pete's best friend. He would follow Pete around. Had him for two or three months. Got hit on the road and a neighbor gave him to another neighbor who buried him.

There are three other cats who are just boring.

This is Sweet Kitty. He was feral when I got him. It took years, but he has turned into a spoiled lap cat.

My aunt has a stray she named Pretty Kitty, either you're as nuts as her or she is less nuts than I thought.

Sweet Kitty got his name because after about a year and a half of seeing my other cats being petted, he decided to be friendly. He would let me pet him and then he would bite me. I would tell him "Sweet kitties don't bite." Then I would pet him with the non-bleeding hand and say "That's my sweet kitty." He finally got domesticated and is a really great cat.

I watched Pete dig a hole and push Gonzo into it the other day.

I lost my 14.5 year old Catahoula on the 4th

We are all coping, but his brother Lavitz (Dane / Ridgeback mix) has been extra clingy. Here are a few shots of him from the last week.

Sadly my Jack Russell Terrier passed away about a month ago but my Boxer is still raisin' hell

Great looking boxer, probably my favorite breed. Never liked small dogs until my aunt got a Jack Russell. Totally changed my attitude towards smaller dogs - what a character that one was! He died about 6 months back - sorry for your loss.

One more of Otto. Last year, when he was a young pup, I was watching him galumphing about while I was practicing. I started playing along wiht how he moved, and wound up writing a song, called OttoPilot. He was a clumsy pup, and the song is in 5. I'll post it when we finish mixing the recording.

Here's Dixie!! She's some kind of a mutt. She found her way to us about six years ago. She's missing a toe, part of her ear and has a chunk missing from her nose. But she's the biggest baby. She weighs 90 lbs. but thinks she's a lap dog. She literally carries my wife's shoes around like they're her babies. Never tears them up, just carries them.

After we got her, the vet told us she was likely a bait dog for dog fights. The vet said her ear was "cut" off by some kind of a tool because it was too clean a cut to have been an accident. She said dog fighting pieces of sh!t will do that to a bait dog so the other dogs get the scent of blood. There is a special place in hell for those people!!
Dixie is none the worse for it though. She's our baby and gets pampered like one of the family now!!

Hell is too good of a place for people like that. Just sayin. BTW.... you have a cool looking sweet dog.
