Post Yer Pedalboard - 23 Skidoo

And in one day, modified my board. I verified that I'm not a filter guy (the surprise was a Robot Factory Brain Freeze, now FS/FT..)

Still waiting for the PP2+, some longer cables, and now a Geiger Counter that's going where the paper is (measured it out..)

so... the Geiger Counter is VERY cool. but super unruly. i LOVED tones i got out of it.... but sometimes it would switch the waveform when i turned it on and then i'd have to tinker for like 40 minutes to get close to the tone i had.

if they make a version that has MIDI changeable save spots or simplify it a BUNCH so that if you wiggle a knob you can get back to where you were, then i'm SO in.

i hope you like yours better than i liked mine!

and..... the guy (William Michael? i forget. something WM) is SUPER nice. i had a problem with my first one and he walked me through a bunch of diagnostic stuff before i returned it for a replacement.

great guy.

I read in several places that it always saves settings..you're saying that it was a bit finicky with that?

well.... it's S'POSED to keep whatever your setting was when it powers down and load that next time you power it on. i ended up returning it because it has about 120 waveforms to choose from (around that) and it would sometimes jump to a different one then i wanted. and going back to the correct waveform would jump all the values on the knobs so it took FOREVER to dial a tone back in.

i did talk (email) to the owner of WMD and he said it wasn't s'posed to do that, so maybe i had a buggy one. but i think it did it on the original one i purchased and the replacement one i received. that just kinda made it useless for my live setup.

It is very sensitive to input signal, but barring that, I've had no issues recreating tones on specific wavetables after venturing into other parts of the pedal and then returning. If using multiple pedals pre-geiger, small changes in things like filter cutoff, eq in general, gain, etc (going into the geiger) all have big effects on the Geiger's output. This has been my experience with the pedal.

Pretty much set for now...will post pics when we practice again.

Signal Chain: Planet Waves Strobe Tuner -> EHX Nano Muff -> Dunlop 105Q -> Hartke VXL Bass Attack -> Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive -> Digitech Bass Multi-Chorus

Wanted to get a tremolo, but played with the chorus a little and realized I could get the 'tremolo' effect that I needed out of it.

I'm pretty happy with this. Though, some stuff is still coming and going, all the important parts are finally together. And, the pedalboard doesn't wobble/fall over anymore!
