Here's what I cobbled together. Fender '51 reissue neck and tuners, Mike Dirnt road worn body (has arm bevel) and nitro finish, Toneguard gold ano pickguard, custom Bartolini split P pickup that I built back when I worked for Bill B. I made the finger rest out of maple and painted/ distressed it. I'm working on putting together another bass that will be a custom color with a Lindy split '51 single coil.

I love this thing to death. It can mimic a lot of different tones (dual single coil mode sounds astoundingly close to a Rickenbacker...I own a 4001v63 and it's nearly spot on).
This is without a doubt one of the most versatile basses I own.

That makes me want to Tbird one of my Cabronitas. Sexy.
I "T-birded" my Tele bass copy. Interesting tone.
A few years ago, I bought a Dillion SCPB, and after a few months I grew bored with it, so I measured the pickup positions on my Epi bird, and routed the SCPB.
It's an interesting tone. When I did mine, I didn't add tone controls because of the two-hole control plate. Planned on eventually adding stacked knobs for tone, but never bothered.
Fun bass, and a lot more versatile than the original setup.
This is the bass that made me do the mod.

Here's a Douglas Pisces I purchased from Rondo Music two years ago, that has long since been amalgamated into some strange creature that not even its mother would love...and I'm just fine with that.
It has an Artec Hot Rails Alnico pickup, CTS 500K pots with a 0.022uF tone cap, and the grotesquely large chrome bridge that should be on a MusicMan Stingray.
I call it the Big Block, because I have a Squier Bronco (Small Block) that sounds almost identical with the same electronics.
