Ahh I wish I could have posted a 73 maple P-bass, but the seller decided not to sell today:-(

Yes . . . In about '82 or so. At that time, it had already been converted to fretless, with re-done position markers, and had the following modifications: schaller tuning machines, PJ combo, 3 pin direct output jack on the side, brass nut.Did you buy that bass used?
I then had an early set of Alembic PJ's swapped in, refinished it "aged" white (which has yellowed to what you see today) and Badass II screwed on. I don't remember any other modifications but I haven't closely examined it for a long time.
My stuff was all done when I bought it.
'76 Precision fretted, late '70s Fernandes P-Copy fretless, both with Jazz-width nuts.
it's very light and comfortable. very well made and has a strong acoustic sound. i have flats on it and it sounds great.
