I like this thread - obviously I love '70s instruments! Here's one of my almost-birth-year basses - 1971 Les Paul Triumph (I'm 1970):

The other 1971, a now-Alembicized Guild M-85 II, dubbed the AleM-85:

My first Rickenbacker from 1976 (bought in 2002):

Nice... I've got the matching P (76). A few years back almost pulled the trigger on a matching mustang, and haven't seen one since in walnut with a maple neck.

Ahh I wish I could have posted a 73 maple P-bass, but the seller decided not to sell today:-(
