Post Your 70's Ampeg SVT

That is just so cool. I saw them in 1968. Was a huge fan after that. Probably saw one of those SVTs. Really too bad IB didn't last.
I use my 71 and 73 SVTs with a Berg NV215. Gawd what beautiful tone if I do say so myself.
I use my 87 Skunky with a Berg NV215. I know that tone
All these 70's SVT's looking great! Wish I could play!
actually, they're still together with two of the original guys, lee dorman on bass and ron bushy on drums. doug's long retired, though...man, he must have made a killing on inna gadda da vida because he left, came back to do a handful of shows scattered out in the 70's, and disappeared until last year.

My bass gear is the least of my neighbor's worry - they're more concerned with the 5kw, (4) 18s, (4) 15+horn PA in my spare bedroom, hahaha!!!
FWIW, the 93ci drag piped shovelhead isn't real popular with them either... on the bright side, I only have one "close" neighbor that's in her 80s - that's about 100 yards away...

And is possible the very same one as in the video. The flight case has Elvis Costello and the Attractions printed in it.
It sounds amazing and has some serious mojo

the one in the video looks like an earlier black line. used to love rockpile...did a gig with dave edmunds a few years ago and billy bremner was there, too. one of the highlights of my life was hanging out in a bar drinking with them. heard the whole rockpile story, too...what a shame they broke up such a great band over money. can't blame dave for splitting, but it's just a shame, you know?

a little OT, but does anyone have a link to a store shot from the early 70s selling all these amps/cabs new? i'd love to see a picture of an old music shop with "new" vintage SVTs and cabs for sale.

That is the FIRST 69 SVT I've ever seen. You have the real deal. No question about it.Mines dated the 4th week of 1970.
yeah im keeping them safe when i bought the svt the pots were broken off
but i live in mn and savage audio said they can rebuild it. the guy i bought it from still had the broken off pieces so hopfully savage audio can work some magic
