LOL, thx - it AMAZES me how much the C6 is improved over the 2004 C5 I owned for a brief time before swapping into the SSR (which is a long story in and of itself)...

Note: My SSR is not really indicative of others' experiences, don't necessarily be afraid to buy one if ya want one (everybody). Mine just had/has apparently every kind of problem all in one package and repeatedly... As I told GM, I'm a little gunshy of getting another one, so I'm paying the bigger money to get the Vette as a replacement instead. Never had a major problem with any of 4 previous GM cars though.

FWIW - the tall building in the background in your SSR picture is the GM World HQ. Apparently the truck was parked along the river in Windsor, Ontario Canada to get that building and the Detroit skyline in the background.

just picked this up used and cheap.

I just put new oversized tires on the steel rims today because I had a blow out on the dry rotted set that was on it (it's a shame cause they were Michelin MX4 with good tread). I've got a set of original alloy rims coming in a trade in about 2 weeks so I'll need to have them re mounted

This is my 5th Volvo, the last went over 300k and would have kept going is it wasn't too rusty to continue... I picked this one because the shell and interior are near perfect.

I had planned it with my coupe... but I've neither the money to have it done, nor a garage to do it myself....

I sold it last year to a Volvo Parts Manager that is restoring it with a turbo motor as a Father / Son project (kid was 16 when they came to buy it)

Skoda is made by Volkswagen. About 49% of the components in this car is from for example the VW Golf and those cars.

These cars one of the best in terms of value. They are not expensive but they are very well designed and ooze with VW quality.

It's basically a Mk4 Jetta with different bodywork. Skoda are a Czech car company who were a complete joke before VW bought them out (many, many gags about Skodas were to be seen on UK TV in the 80s), and now they make cars equally as good as VW's for quite a bit less money.

My 1970 Chevy Nova. It's at home in the garage now, just waiting for some work. Needs new rear quarter panels and door skins. Darn rust. Runs perfectly though. Went from my brother to me. It will most likely be a whole family project, both my father and brother were mechanics, and my dad was a HUGE hotrodder. Had tons of 'em, think his favorite was his '67 (think that's the year) GTO though...regrets selling it to this day.
