My 1986 trans-era Musicman Stingray, "Sarah", so dubbed by my girlfriend. The other basses sound excellent and play very well, but this one truly speaks to me every time I play it. I've had it for almost exactly a year, and I've used it for nearly every gig and recording. I also own three 90's Warwicks and a MIM Jazz (my first bass), but Sarah is usually the first axe I reach for.
Right now I have to say it is my '88 Sadowsky Standard 4. Mainly for three reasons....1) it is a Sadowsky, 2) Being twenty years old it is well broken in and 3) The history and Mojo this bass has! For those who did not read my previous posts, this bass was originally built for Steve W. Rabe, founder of SWR (thus the SWR on the headstock). It was used in a number of SWR ads (which I have too) and also served time at SWR's product show room and at every NAMM show from 1988 to when Steve left the company (from Roger himself). So in all the time, there had to be some monster bass players who have picked up that bass at one time or another! Here she is:

My brain was arguing telling which I liked more. Add another string and I'd pick the bass.

Hey Munji, I'm curious as to what you like so much in the Lakland. I've never played one before but right now I'm looking into a Sadowsky MV5, maybe you could convince me on the Lakland?

My #1 is my MTD Artist 5. I bought it for $425 used on eBay, but it's become my go-to bass for playing live, above even my custom build.

I'm sorry. Don't take this the wrong way, but she looks like she's twelve in that picture so I feel kind of funny commenting about how attractive she is, but she's holding a nice bass none the less. It matches her dress.
