That looks like a Lane Poor if I'm not mistaken.

The Lane Poor soapbar, you mean?

It's quite nice. The combination of that plus the EMG DC in the bridge spot is a near-perfect tonal match.

Believe me, I'll give you cash if YOU could find me a matching one! My bass just feels so naked without it!

I haven't seen a LP for sale in some time. I know there was some that wanted to be traded in the Classys a little while back, but none on eBay or other bass sites to my knowledge in a good while.

Kevin, that macassar ebony is soooooooooooooooo sexy, that it should be illegal to even look at it, never mind making basses from it :scowl: .

I tore this baby down yesterday, and now shes perfect. Took the shaller bridge apart, and oiled up the rollers. Did a little tweaking on pickups. Strung this baby up with a new set of Pedulla nickel strings.

There's no shame in a less-than-expensive DIY fretless bass. You just happened to come to the thread just in time to be followed by some very nice, very boutique, very expensive instruments. While you are enjoying your Yamaha, those guys are feeling horrible because they could have relieved a small nation from poverty and famine... they bought a bass instead.
