After Darren tragically lost part of his index finger during a workplace accident at the local mill he was unable to play guitar anymore.His therapist contacted his ex-bandmates and suggested that they occasionally let him up on stage for some air guitar just so he wouldn't spiral into a dark world of misery and depression. This turned out to be a blessing as Darren went on to become the World Air Guitar Champ for 3 successive years..

The band always sets up on stage in a simple order: left to right, from the least "rock" member to the most.
