I like the comic book themed ones! Our lead guitarist did this one using Comicbook maker on Mac.

We use these both on line and at venues - use a sharpie to write in the date - or electronically - printed on photo-cardstock - in ledgersize.

sometimes - they get modified for special events....

What do you y'all use to make gig posters? I see one mention of photoshop. Anything others? Are there templates?

I use Power Point with a graphic tool I have sometimes I will add stuff using Photoshop

I use Inkscape for all the lettering (get free fonts from DaFont website) and and Gimp for manipulating photos.
