well its actually gonna be a sleeve. that pic is just an idea i had of what it will look like. i can't wait to finally get a color tattoo. 6 rounds ehh? how long is each sitting? that much cost a mint!

Each sitting has been around 4 hours, though my artist takes 2 or 3 smoke breaks each time. It's costing quite a bit, although he's cutting me a deal since I'm good friends with his on-again, off-again g/f.

The celtic tattoo thing has become fairly common...but a whole sleeve?! That's something you don't see everyday. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Well, color was a lie, had a quickie session today. Filled and shaded my circle knot, did some new work directly on the elbow, hurt like mad.

Are you going to fill in the background? If so with what?

My Black Flag bars, the sun has not been kind. I honestly haven't seen this tattoo for a few years. It is about 10 years old. This tattoo hurt more than all my other tattoos put together. Okay not really, but I can remember wanting to throw up shortly after it was finished.

Are you going to fill in the background? If so with what?

The back ground for my whole arm is going to be tight and intricate knotwork "panels", done in gray with some light blue accent shading. My artist wants to make it seem as if they continue underneath the larger knots, as if my whole arm was first covered with the pattern and then had the big knots put on top of it. We'll probably go with some variations of this:

The major knots (in the "foreground") will be colored in greens and blues, with some light goldenrod accents.

P.S. : A general note for everybody...If you want to stay friends with your tattoo artist, never attempt to combine the words 'celtic' and 'sleeve' in the same sentence.
