thats pretty awesome. 9 sessions for something like that isn't bad at all! I know a guy who got two half sleeve, shoulders, and chest panels and full back piece in two weeks. he'd sit there for 8-10 hours a day for two weeks. he's badass though, he's been though some Sh*t though. Combat wise...so he can deal with some pain.

I got 3 more hours done on my arm Sunday - nothing compared to some of you guys here but I love it . I'll post pics tonight

Your friend is insane :O I got a 6-hour piece on one leg, and a 2-hour piece on my other leg at the last convention a few weeks ago and my body hated me..

I see arthritis in his future if that artist keeps the marathon sessions up. That's brutal.

Well my sleeve has been finished for a few months now so I grabbed the camera for a few shots in the mirror tonight...

Well my sleeve has been finished for a few months now so I grabbed the camera for a few shots in the mirror tonight...

You didn't want to work the upper inner arm (and more importantly armpit) into it?! My bastard tattoo artist sneaked my sleave up into my armpit...SOB. He also sneaked a little of my brothers rib piece into his armpit.

D Von, i can understand why someone would wonder how good it is. Thats a lot to do in two weeks. The guy who had it done is into some deep special op sh*t...shhhh, and was deploy for 90 days and wanted to get it done before he deployed. He can take some pain for sure, when i was there when he was getting worked on (which was probably like half or 3/4 of the time) he didn't flinch at all and he never asked to take a break, it was always the tattooers call! haha. And yeah, his hand was pretty sore after those two weeks, and remember when he wasn't working on that guy he was working on my brother (who was also deploying close to this time, only for alot longer than 90 days) and I were both getting work done. He's got a bad back from leaning over in the chair though. it always seems like a easy and relaxed job, but you gotta think about that, haha.

also, i had a pic from the front viewing both chest panels and sleeves, but i don't know where its at now.

yea i didn't mean to dis your boy, its just that i have a pet peeve about guys who get tattoos or piercings just because of the pain and story. imo, its a picture on your skin, that is all. I actually agree with you. The who got all the work said he wanted sleeves and a backpeice for a while, but didn't get it cause the military, i guess he doesn't care any more, he's old enough to retire, i think he's a sgt. maj. so no one is really gonna say anything to him. Alot of people are always "oh, you got tattoos, you can't be in special operations, etc etc." which is bs. (well, people that don't know much about military will say that). He also had a couple tattoos on his arms that he got covered up.

I'm not a big fan of memorial tattoos either. I always hate how on the tv shows about tattoo shops every single person always has a story, you know how many times i've heard someone say that got a tattoo because its represents something or someone...one. and i thought it was cheesy. but i guess whatever floats there boats.

I don't like sitting in the chair for more than one second! haha, people always say to me "oh, you must love pain" i always say "F no i don't! I hate getting tattoos, its the results i love" the outline for my back took 8 hours and it was horrible, my body went into slight shock afterwards, and i've seen some guys be real bad off after even shorter sessions than that.

Traditionally in Japan that space is saved for some nasty and/or erotic type images since it is only seen in private. I just have not thought of what I might want to put there.... and I didn't want to spend any more cash for the meantime. Had to buy a Geddy.
