Post your modded Squier Broncos!

There is at least one thread about "reasons not to modify" a Bronco or some such thing. I was interested in this subject.
Then they came out with the SS Jag. I did the "magnet mod" to my Jag, but that is not a Bronco and the mod doesn't show up in a picture. Not one that I could take, anyway.
If you do a search, I'm sure you can find plenty of pics of modded Broncos. The problem is that you have to wade through tons of threads that have noting to do with what you're interested in.

I'm at work at the moment so I can't post pictures, but a few months ago I modded my stock Bronco neck to fretless. Right now I'm in the process of removing and replacing the nut and going to replace the horrible stock pickup to a Hotrails.

I modded one once, full size tuners, a BWB pickguard, a GFS lipstick Strat pickup (the hottest one they did), a thumbrest and a Squier Vista series Musicmaster bridge, so thus modified for through body stringing.

I modified one several years ago. It had a Peavey T40 pickup wired single-series-parallel.
It was thunderous.

Here's the thread where I adapted mine into a Mustang-ish thing with a vaguely Musicmaster-y control plate appendage. Since then, I hacked up the pickguard to install a soapbar, but it's going back to the Mustangish state soon; I have another PG to replace my hack job.

I just put a musicmaster pickguard on my Squier Bronco!! I like it more already!!
Well, I guess technically it's modded but it doesn't work yet :
I'm putting a Lace Dually in this guy, probably a Red/Silver. One knob will be a stacked V/T, the other will be a blend for the two coils since they are mismatched in what sort of tone they produce (Silver I'm guessing is trebly, Red will be bassy). I'm also going to stick a Series/Parallel switch on it that might bypass the blend knob in Series. Series would be my "humbucker" setting.
I'm shooting for cream knobs and pickup cover, but we'll see if I can even find a stacked cream knob anywhere.
I'll upgrade the bridge at the same time I put the pickup and electronics in it. Down the road the tuners are getting replaced, but right now they work OK so there isn't a need to spend the cash right away. The only drop in tuners I've heard of are Schaller M4s and they are spendy suckers.

I was gonna go for a tort guard but it was really expensive! I've got a red sensor in my Bronco and it is lovely. The bass, pickup and pickguard cost me about £140. A nice bass for that price!
I ended up having the tort guard made by Dave at "Frets on the Net". The material cost 50 dollars since it needed a big sheet, and then the guy charged 30 dollars labor. With shipping it totaled 85 USD.
Overall I think I'll have way too much money in this cheap bass, however I think it's worth it to me. I just want a quality, versatile, giggable shortscale not a collector's item. The body and neck are a great starting point, the tuners/bridge/pickup was what I didn't like about the bass.
I got the bass for 20 USD but I traded in a Partscaster Strat that I had laying around as well.

OK. I'll play. Seymour Duncan split rail pickup. Custom paint and stripe. Updated pots, wiring, bridge and tuners. Gave it to my son to practice with. He loves it.
