I'm using the Lava Cable solder-free kit. I'm quite impressed with the quality of these things, plus they look killer.

I took some additional photos. I love the "industrial" look of this board with all that metal.

I doubt the Voodoo will either.

This is my fun with tube amps board so a fuzz a few boosts and that will be it all run on batteries though I will use a daisy chain when transporting it to cut off the battery internally ;) clever eh?

Hey, have you thought about velcro-ing a power supply flat, and then velcro-ing another pedal on top? I haven't put this into practice yet, and I'm not sure if I've seen anybody else do it. I have a Gator GBus8 which is pretty thin, but just the right foot print for my Planet Waves Tuner.

Looks killer!! Very nice piece of work there. Congrats bro :)

Could you also add a review of your boxes if that's ok? There are some really high quality equipment in your set-up. I took your remark on Lava Cable for instance ;)

What is your signal path? Which effect is for which? C'mon make our day :D

I taped my clean boost on top of my DC Brick at one point. Worked well. Now I have my Phase 100 on top of a piece of 2x4 as a riser.

I went reverb shopping about a year ago, and discovered that I liked the sound of a spring reverb. I tried the T-Rex RoomMate, EH Holy Grail, Little Lanilei and the VanAmps SoleMate. I thought the SoleMate was the nicest of the bunch; a nice warm sounding reverb to use purely clean with no other effects. At the time, I wasn't so put off by the large footprint thinking that it would be one of the few effects I would use.

Fast forward a year and now I have the RRR. It's funny, because the one thing the RRR lacks is a spring reverb sound. But I don't miss it at all. I have it in the blended loop of the X-Blender. It's such a natural sounding reverb, and I'm totally loving it.

So as far as comparisons, I really don't have too much to say other than that this is the best reverb pedal I've played through. Had I spent more time with the Nova Reverb recently, maybe I would have a different opinion on the matter. But it's just so easy to get a great sound with the RRR, while the Nova offers way more variety in sounds and tweakability. For this clean board, I'm all about dial it in and go. My dirty board will be a different story.

I've looked at external power supplies also and have come to the conclusion this board was not designed with an external supply in mind. I went the same route you're considering, a wall wart with a daisy chain and it's working fine. Given the size of the board, you won't be fitting more than five effects on the board anyway, so, the wart provides the required power (unless you have a 12v or 18v pedal you want to mount).

I just wish my Loop-Master Mini Looper would arrive so I can complete the build. I know it will be worth the wait.

Hey, both of you are using the Valve Drive, no? I can't get over how good this thing sounds. It makes everything you throw at it sound bigger and fatter; there's just this heft to the notes. And while it's supposed to be an od pedal, I like it very much as an almost clean preamp. So put a low gain od before it, and the Valve Drive just beefs it up. And then if you really want to thicken the od, just kick the vintage switch on. It definitely plays well with others.
