You're thinking of an expander. They are pretty much the opposite of a compresser. However, Sonic Maximizers and their like are often called "enhancers," so I can see where you would get mixed up.

I'm pretty sure that the BBE website gives a much more in-depth explanation than I can give. The short story is that it is phase correction.

A lot of people just think that it's just a smiley-face eq in a box, but a lot of others swear by them.

The exact process differs slightly from company to company, but are closely guarded secrets. One rumor is they use a digital version of the same processes used by Stradivarius to make his violins sound so much better than his contemporaries.

I actually got that Phase 90 '74 as a mistake. I ordered a regular Phase 90 which is only $70 and I got this inside the box of what I ordered. Yay.

No that you mention it, it would be nice if pedalboards like the pedaltrain could "join" together (lego style) for example lets say you have a Pedalboard Jr and after some you are missing some space so you buy a Pedalboard Mini join them together and fit more pedals

OK, be gentle. This board is very much in its infancy. Not to upset with the signal path, but not happy either.

Right now it is going Bass -> Muff -> B2.1u -> Bassballs -> Wah -> Octave -> Amp

That will change, but kinda been on hold as I do plan on adding to this setup, and changing some of the pedals.

I really dig the russian muff, but do kinda dislike the low end suckage. But from what I've been reading, the new Bass Muff will solve my problems there without the need of getting a blend pedal, and save some space.

The russian Bassballs is freaking fantastic, but I hate the size. I got this one dirt dirt cheap though, so I'll keep it for a home setup (the muff too.) I want to get a chorus in there, trying to decide what kind (deciding between a Cool Cat, Clone Theory, and Digitech CF-7.) Eventually I'd like the get enough variety to move the zoom out of there also and go completely single effects.

Any other suggestions to what would fit good on the pedalboard?

Unfortunately atm my effects loop goes bass -> Plante Waves Classic Series Instrument Cable -> Amp...

Would like to get a Sansamp Bass Driver or VT Bass. Prob the Boss TU-2 tuner a delay of some sort and maybe an eq... But that's a while off yet, still saving for a bigger amp lol

Yeah, I have those exact same Guyatone Micro pedals (ST2/TZ2), but it seems the ST2 might not be making the board this time around...

Yeah, I do have a lot of room, but that's because this is the first board I've ever built. It's also because I plan on adding an MXR Phase 100, a Copilot Android, an EHX Stereo Polychorus, and, if there is sufficient room, a Dunlop 105Q.

Anyway, the Clyde Deluxe (you were right) is nothing less than spectacular. It is primarily a guitar wah, but that doesn't mean it can't perform on bass. There is a thread here, based on the USGS report "Who Names Their Kids Clyde Anymore? An Initial Review of the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah," that explains everything. I know I said I want to add a 105Q - I'm a two wah man, which is a setup I've dug since I was 13 years old (so, ten years, really).

And, finally, in order of appearance: LPB-1 => Black Russian (Big Muff) => BMS => DEM => Psycho Flange => Cool Cat => blank space (which will house a Polychorus) => Smallstone => Q-Tron => Bassballs => Clyde Deluxe => Carbon Copy => RT-20 (Rotary Ensemble).

Oh, and the photo is on its side, because of Photobucket. I tried changing it last night, but no dice.
