How do you like the RAT? I'm currently ordering a RAT clone and just wondering what others think about RAT

well I have a turbo RAT,... I love it, except that sometimes its noticeable that if you have the filter on too high you lose the low end, but if you put more low end in you don't get enough distortion coming through,... so for me I like the distortion even if I lose the low end,...

that said I am more favouring the phat hed 7 and I know that the PH7 cuts through and still retains bass in a band setting,... have yet to try rat tho!

edit: and agree with above hence why decided quarter way through my pedal collection that id go my own way a bit!

You could have bought yourself a TV at Wal Mart with the money you spent on all the pedals.
:confused::hmm::confused:

Sure, but then you would actually have to go into a Walmart (I'm not willing to make that sacrifice).

You also might be compelled to watch TV instead of making interesting noises.

I don't want to turn this into a walmart political/economy thread, I just really hate going in that place.

Tayste- may we see the belly of the beast?

please?

Much obliged. Have you taken delivery of your new cab yet?

Oh, yeah...PM for you as well.

Nah it will be next week, they will be built for Saturday but the grills haven't been made so I'm cool to wait.

Hoping to get a Mesa Strategy 400 to put in my rack as well though :D so I can power both cabs at the same time but run the 8x10 in stereo.

Should give me amazing headroom

I've found it to be quite useful as an overdrive. I usually leave the EQ flat and the shape control at about 12 o'clock. As you can see from the pic, having the "harmonics" knob dimed, you can dial in a nice gritty tone with the mix control.

Honestly I bought it thinking it would just be a nice DI and was pleasantly surprised with its versatility.

The only caveat I might add is that there is a noticeable volume jump when you engage the overdrive, so I run it before my compressor going into the amp to even things out a little.

I've used Sansamp equipment and I like this every bit as much. You will notice by the cat hairs on the pedal that my cat also approves of its beastliness
