I've gone modular as well. Sold the Jr for a Mini, will add a second mini. This is the current iteration - I swap in a Paradriver if I'm playing a club where I know I'll need direct out. The second board will have the bi chorus, delay, and another toy or two.

Permit me to temporarily interrupt this thread to ask...what is optical about an optical compressor (or other "optical" pedals for that matter)?

Usually there is an optocoupler (an LED and a photoresistor combined together) that is used to control some aspect of the effect. In a comp it is used to control the compression action.

Pretty sure I'm right.

Backwards means the size of the SA pedals and the requisite cabling are a non issue. Works out nicely that way.

Still working on my crazed noise/ambient board. This is my 4th iteration in the last week. Have continued to mangle the signal path to taste.

After practicing for a couple of hours tonight, I think I need to get the freeze pedal AFTER the volume pedal to see if I like that better. The Boost DLA is wasted in it's current location, I either need to move it or try some more extreme settings.

I always seem to sneak in near the end of these threads...but I have a sort-of update for once.

This is the Bongripper board (for those of you who don't recognize it)

Signal chain is...

Pitchblack > Freqbox > Agro > Fx Doctor Modded Rat > Murf > 104-SD (EHX small stone in the loop under board).

The Moog EP-2 is controlling the freq on the freqbox

there is a tiny Th1smyne expression controlling the delay time on the 104-SD

My only complaint is the lame Rocktron logo's all over the footswitch (controlling the Agro).

Sounds awesome though, I'm stoked as usual.
