how dare you! in florida, the dog is as sacred as cows in india. except for those little yappy dogs who poop and pee all over your floor when they're housebroken, just because you don't get up quick enough for their tastes. like i used to have until my son and his gal took him this weekend when they moved

The MXR is more of a traditional BEF as expected. The Tri-mod does have envelope characteristics, but it's a whole different animal all together. It's a morph between wah and envelope filter with some ocsillation sprinkled on top.
I'm still learning how to play it, but so far I really like it. The only down side is there is a volume drop when you click on the pedal. I haven't figured out if that comes from operator error or if it's just a quirk of the pedal.

Why don't you have your M9 on the pedalboard anymore?
your board was what inspired me to get one!!! Is it just not good enough for you anymore? what made you decide to go back to all individual stomps?

well.... for my band it was a little much. i like it a lot, but i was pretty much just using it for ONE delay. and i can get a more lush version of that with the Malekko. taking it off let me put 3 things in it's place that are relevent to what i'm doing.
i go thru phases with multi efx. i'm FASCINATED by the possibilities of an all in one box. and the M9 IS the best out there right now i think.
but then after using them live for a couple shows i realize that what i actually use i have a better small box version of.
so right now i have a fun, noisy board with an M9, a Pitch Factor, and some NASTY unusable effects that i run bass and some synth/drum machine stuff thru.
i'm thinking about listing the M9 and the Pitch Factor though. they're truly awesome pieces of kit.... but i don't know if i'll use them out of the bedroom.

Yeah, it's a Symetrix 501 compressor. I built the board myself with a 2U rack. There is a BBE SupaCharger under there too.

Neither. Just kidding, it just depends on what you're doing. But if you want something like a hold function, you could always just get an EHX Freeze down the road. It does something like that. Then you could have a regular delay AND a hold!
