Try swapping the Monkey and El Grande around if you haven't already. A different fuzz I know, but my Supercollider sounds better after the Monkey's buffer (although you already have a TU-2 buffer before your fuzz so that won't make much difference) but sounds glorious when hit with a Monkey-boost!

I had them set up like that originally but I was having a hard time hitting my tuner with out bumping into the Bad Monkey. I never have both pedals going at the same time; too mushy and the note tracking goes to hell.

My Option Knobs http://www.optionknob.com arrived today (I ordered the three pack) and they are really cool! They definitely make my Echo Park delay "freak nasty" - I put one on the Time pot and now, with the Repeat set high, I can do the UFO effect with my foot. And I also put on on my Micro Q-Tron Drive control and I can get a psudo wah-wah effect with more range than even my Crybaby Bass Wah! :eek: But it will take time to get the hang of controling it as smoothly as a wah rocker pedal.

The last one I tried with the Speed control on my ZVEX Seek Wah II (the Option Knob actually fits perfectly right over the micro-size knob on the ZVEX), with the Drive control on my ZVEX Fuzz Factory (pretty cool, but all five controls are so interactive, it is pointless just to control one), and with the Fuzz control on my MXR El grande Bass Fuzz (I really like this usage for changing the amount of grit and fuzz in my signal). right now, I have chosen to keep it on the Speed control of my Liqua-Flange. I'm actually going to have to order 2 or 3 more!

There are some drawbacks to be aware of: 1. You will pretty much have to choose one function to control per pedal, as the Option Knob's wing-span takes up the majority of the width of most pedals, unless you have large pedals or pedals that are laid out horizontally (such as ZVEX pedals), so if you attempt more than one O' Knob on a pedal, they will bump wings. 2. If your pedals are close to each other, you have to watch that the wings of the O' Knobs don't hit the side of the pedal next to it (such as a wah pedal that's taller than the knob location on regular pedals). 3. If you aren't careful, you can easily break plastic pots (such as those on the Line 6 ToneCore modules). I don't plan on mistreating my pedalboard, but if you get in a band with a wild guitarist who loves to run all over the stage (a spastic "guitard") and your pedalboard, then you might be pedals over and over, whether or not you have the Option knobs...

The drawbacks really aren't a factor though, as you only have one foot free to control one function, and I've already found five functions that the O' Knobs will easily fit on my pedalboard and it's so cool to get the control live that I could only get in the studio with someone else tweaking the knobs while I play. having your own control brings a more personal, musical, and natural feel to the recording. And you can get it live too!

It's nice to finally have an innovative, forward-thinking item that helps in the little things that add to a musician's creativity and success! Sometimes it's the smallest things that make the biggest difference! :)

These are well worth the money and my pedalboard looks more unique than others! :D

I'll post pics tomorrow night and I'll start a separate thread and post this review and pics there as well.

Nano Clone is TERRIBLE. First of all, it will work on a daisy chain because the polarity is reversed.

The sound quality is also weak. It has tons of hiss and a volume drop. It is not worth the money.

I've never tried a nano clone at all, so unfortunately I can't help ya there. I had heard such awful things about it that I didn't even bother. The small clone is a cool pedal, although I'm not sure if I'm sticking with it or not. There is a very specific chorus sound I need, and I'm not sure the Clone is it. If you're interested in it, shoot me a PM.

A BIG +1. It's one of the few EHX pedals I absolutely hated.

For EHX chorus pedals... the Small Clone, Stereo Clone Theory, and Stereo Electric Mistress are all very good. The Small Clone is a classic and is easy to use. The Stereo Clone Theory is on the noisier side of things, but has the deep, bright, unique tone that bassists like Peter Hook enjoyed with the original 80's version. The Stereo Electric Mistress has a warm noise-free chorus, as well as a parallel flanger.

I'll have to post an update, but here's the signal chain I've been using for the past couple of months:


Bass> A/B box (B> Korg DT-10BK)> Subdecay Noisebox> EBS Multicomp> Xotic X-blender w/ Tonefreak Abunai 2 (TS 808 clone)> Amp

Must say, I've been getting some pretty sweet tones running the Noisebox into the Abunai 2 (with a blend of 33% wet, 66% dry, 1% awesome :p)

ok this sounds unreal but i am 90% there...

i finally got the mixer to put my parallel stereo efx to practice... not all of my efx are connected cuz i need a few more solution pedals( loopers, blenders...) and a few are on repair...

here is a shot of the whole thing

the last time i took all of my efx to a gig was back when the count of units was 24 now it is over 30...

its not that hard...

for all you tech freaks:

bass, EB vol.jr., big shot efx(ebs octabass, ibanez fat cat, danelectro chill dog and freanch toast)(digitech bass squeze and bass synth wah), big shot mix (ibanez TS9, ema distortion, ibanez FZ7, ibanez fat cat), custom MOSS electro Clocwork Oragne Dist/overdrive, tone factor 442, big shot efx (ebs Bass IQ, ibanez SB7, ibanez and maxon AF9)(danelectro shift daddy), big shot efx (ibanez PM7, danelectro hash brown, ibanez FL9, BOSS CEB3, digitech digidelay and digiverb)(danelectro psycho flanger, coolcat 18v), ibanez PT1000, custom MOOS electro david hasellhoff tremolo/overdrive... then it goes to a 4 way spliter... one chanel goes to a mixer... other 3 are for 3 stereo efx... now only maxon CP505 is connected... then i have danelectro spring king and real echo going trough aux 3 for further abuse... then it goes to a EB stereo vol/pan pedal...

i also have a nobels AB that will be at the beginning for havening to switch between two basses, danelectro cool cat 9v, BOSS Twah, danelectro rocky road, rocktron black cat moan wah, yamaha NE1 and a ibanez UE303B(for small gigs or gigs that require less efx ;) )

these last pedals will get connected as soon as they get their solutions or from repair...

i also have some very special efx arriving but that is a secret for now...

any way i am enjoying the time playing with my experiments...

BTW i have changed all my cables to klotz and some are ssnake jack to jack (straight or angled) two are fender and there are still a few that are cheap but they lasted 7 years so thy are not that cheap...
