Post Your Pedalboard - Part I

This is mine. I use an SKB PS-25 which has two loops. The signal comes from my bass and goes into the Rocktron BCM > Boss TU-2 > EMMA D-BOB > MXR Distortion+ > SABBDI and into the front of my amp. The second loop goes from a Boss PH-3 > Digitech Bass Multi Chorus > Boss DD-5 into the amps effect loop. The second loop is footswitchable, as is a nine band graphic EQ. I have also modified all of my pedals except for the EMMA and the PH-3.

MI audio Neo Fuzz. Its a vintagey mellow fuzz. So i hear.

That is indeed what it is, I dig it. Works nicely conjunction in with the Subdecay Tomato fuzz which does the harsher end of the fuzz spectrum.

here's the 75% finished version, still waiting on my mutron back from modding and my 4 loop loooper.
I've used the colored George L's plug caps to help denote which loop is which, and where it starts and ends.

That pedalboard is insane! I could barely keep track of it today!

What are those units underneath?? One is obviously a power supply, can you give some details on both? How are the pedals connected to the power supply?

the power strip is a locking Furman strip that I cut off the long cord and hardwired it into the bottom of the deck, and installed a power receptacle so I could connect a AC power cable (also custom made)..it powers the pedals. The other unit is a VHT Valvulator. It receives the original signal and feeds the pedals. (do a search on the valvulator for more info on it). It also splits the signal into two signals..one wet and one dry, so you could run two amps if you want to. I installed three locking Nutrik jacks on the side of the box..one for the guitar input (into the valvulator) and two output jacks ( one wet and one dry) to feed the amps.


mgmadian - no, I have not tried any other buffers...but the valvulator does indeed make a world of difference in this setup.

I've minimalised, well this is my solo bass board, I'll post what I'm using in my band when I get a board.

I'm guessing you mean to the right, but incase you aren't, the one on the left is the DOD FX25 Envelopre filter and the one to the right is the Zoom Ultra Fuzz.

I'm almost done expanding. Just waiting for a Line 6 MM4 which will go right next to the... Welp... I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Anyway, here are my effects (board to follow and I am open to ideas). I'm constantly moving things around.

A in: MM Ray
B in: Jazz 24
Tuner Out: Fender PT100
Loop1: Whammy, Morley Wah, DT BSW
Loop2: Lo Tone Fuzz, T21 AW, MXR M80 (post dist EQ)
Loop3: Super Comp, DT Bass Driver (set to minimum drive), Vibrothang, Hyper Phase, Digi Delay
Out: CEB3, SAGT2>350X and GIII>Workingman 210 Combo

It's a nice bedroom rig

may I suggest a board for your pedals? nice set up I must say though

Unlike these veterans here I have difficulty stomping on crowded boards. I'm thinking about having three boards so I can preserve the somewhat inverted V layout I have and clean the clutter up a bit.

Board one for the Wahs, board two for the OD/dist and the Loooper, board three for the rest. Then there is the issue of powering them.... *sigh*

Power's gonna be a beast on yours. Except for the Whammy, all of those pedals are 9 volt DC, right? If that is the case, get a one-spot or Godlyke for each of the other 2 boards. Stick a regular electrical strip on your board w/ teh Wah and Whammy, and each of those has their own Wall Wart. Plug the adapter from each of the other boards into the strip, and then run that to power.

I think you can probably get all of that on one board. I'd arange them exactly how you think it's bext to use them, then measure that. You can order custom boards from nyc. You might end up with a ginormous board, but one big board will be infinitely easyer to handle than 3 smaller boards, especially givent hat you have 2 basses.

Actually you have 3 things I want: the wah, the punch factory, and the bassdrive.

Im tossing up between the bassdrive and the tech21 xxl bass. Thats mainly because noone sells bassdrives to Australia

Thanks. I really like the Bassdrive and the punch factory. The bassdrive is the best overdrive that I have ever used, but I'm pretty new to effects so this is only my 4th overdrive. I'm not too crazy about the wah but I'm thinking about putting a blend pot on it to help calm it down.

Well the wah only effects your mid and high end anyway, it leaves the bass alone. Have you tried turning the Q down on the pedal?

I still have the same core setup, but on a Radial Boneyard board. The A/B switch is usually a 2-loop loooper or a Wobo 2 loop, and I have room for a volume or a vol/wah or both. The decision to run the RC-20 and DD-20 in series or parallel changes often, and I am planning on making the DD-20 drive a stereo effect setup, so that might mean a new, more complicated, switching arrangement there.

I've tried many settings but I'll try some more this weekend. I feel like the wah is effecting my entire sound, not just the mid's and highs. I thought that was sort of the point of the 105q anyway. I just want to be able to blend in some of my clean tone into it to keep some attack in the mix.
