Curently I have a frostwave blue ringer, but I am in the prossess of trying to wrangle a Mooger...

All things must end, including my reign of mr. big board... Its been a fun few years, but I need to do this - for myself, and my music...

ok here comes my next question, well statement and a question.

i think a dd-3 would be cool but i would never use it because it would not fit with everything my band plays, so thats why it wouldnt be practicle. so heres to my question, could anyone recomend me some pedals, i already have a boss odb-3, mxr m-80, boss geb-7, dunlop 105q. i saw some people with the mxr micro amp idk if that would be useless if i have and eq and a preamp.

im trying to make an xmas list are already know i want and need a limiter to cut unwanted volume peaks.
so all feedback would be a great help.

So the actualy chain is EB vpjr->Loooper(Vanamps Reverbamate->Boost)->Barber LTD->Mooger Ringmod

I still need to decide on the booster, as for the ring mod - I am waiting for someone to trade me theres... ;)

heh, most people don't know about Tremulant, since it was just an EP. But yeah, technichally. So your a fan of Mr.Alderete I'd hope? You should hear his sound live, its just ferocious.

My pedalboard: individual effect switches as well as four programmable effects group switches, tuning mute switch, internal effects bypass switch - simple, efficient, and all of two cables which is less for me to trip over onstage :smug: :

...with the "Tuner Out" jack (Conveniently doubled on the Mo' Control 2 as well as the rear panel of the preamp for either rackmount or pedal tuners) feeding a signal to:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

My signal chain – I may add a volume pedal between my basses and the pre input, but then again I may not. I’ve become a stickler for good tone after finally upgrading my rig to “quality”: recent testing of my old DigiTech Bass Whammy amazed me with its incredible amount of tone-suckage:

i recently picked up 2 boss cs-2's real cheap and when used together, almost any bass gets turned into juan's tone in mars volta...settings on BOTH are as follows:
Level: maxxed
Attack: maxxed
Sustain: 1:30

u can see it in pics of his board in bass player/bass guitar magazines...i also was able to get his crazy wide filter sounds using a boss blues driver and emma discumbobulator (con safo)

hes awesome, but my band requires mroe of a commerford style, and hes the only person i rank higher than juan in my inspirations...i dont use the cs-2s in my current band, but theyre a great tool to have on hold for when the prog-punk bands come a knocking

Nice rig. Good use of the flexibility of the SWR and use of both sides of your amp. I bet it sounds nice.

Much thanks. Considering I spent a few years considering/playing all my options once I got serious about what I wanted my "dream tone" to be, and another 18 months assembling it via purchase piecemeal on credit/pay off credit/rinse-repeat, it's everything I'd hoped for: lightweight considering need for multiple cabs for the clean/effected dual nature, easily set up for a dual signal rig (the Mini' Mo with its "Dual Mode" is a godsend for this), and tonally everything I could hope for both in the clean and effected sides - I'm very much a fan of the "SWR clean" tone, and just as much a fan of the sound of the Mo's effects.

As for how it sounds, all I can say is that it sounds how I always wanted to sound as a player for 15 years. I can't praise it more than that: running even as simple as a "Geddy-esque" distortion while still having a clean foundation is heaven to my ears. :D If there's anything I'd like to upgrade it would be a jump to a PLX 30/3402 for the increase in headroom (I'm currently only running 300 watts into each 8 ohm cab, and bridged mono is not workable with my separated signal "construction") but it was financially infeasible at the time, and the deal I got on the 1602 was a steal - new it was cheaper than most on the used market.

thats awesome. I have that article too and man his effects are crazy. I want to get an ampeg 8X10 and an old 70's Ampeg Head and get that kind of tone. He really does some awesome stuff on bass like I've never heard. Really psychadelic but at the same time really thick and bassy. I have the Behringer knock off of the boss pedal, I think I should pick another one up and give that setup a try. I want to get some electro harmonix stuff too, like a micro synth. Just gotta save up the $$.

now the Aguilar has been replaced by a Radial bassbone
Radial bassbone (via LOOP send)> Boss TU-2> Boss LMB-3> Fulltone BASS-DRIVE> Guyatone TZ2> MAXON AF9 AUTO FILTER> back to Radial Bassbone (LOOP return)
i use the Boss TU-2 as a mute, i select the BOOST/LOOP and stick the tuner on and it mutes everything, as the Radial no longer has a mute function.
i no longer use the Boss bass chorus and EH bassballs.

Here is mine. You see I am a Sansamp addict. I play mainly in an alternative rock/ funk coverband.
The Programmable SABDDIs ore for different od/distortions.
The Bassbone is for switching between my passive Roscoe Beck and some active axe (GL or esh). I use the boost because the relatively low output of the Roscoe Beck wouldn't allow any "Sabotage" type distortion. The Acoustic DI provides my main clean sound. It is rather good at simulating my clean RBI. (I don't want to carry a pedalboard AND a rack)
