The Syth Wah sounds so Bitchin' going into the Muff. Super crazy synth sounds.

I get some pretty-freakin' great tones with this combination:

It's fed with the signal from an MIA Passive Foundation5, sporting T.I. Jazz Flats. It feeds a GK 700RBII, with the 5KHz highcut activated, and that powers a JBL JRX125 cab (2X15 + 1"-throat horn).

It's a CS-3 compressor (dark blue).

It's on all-the-time, except when I want a 'natural driven tube amp sound' - then I run just the Deisel Dawg and Xciter.

If I had (..should say "once I get") a 'verb, I'd have to run it OUTSIDE the supressor loop - unless I wanted GATED reverb (which might not be a bad idea, really - I'll definately experiment with that). One thing you pretty-certainly wouldn't want to do is run a reverb on the INPUT-side of the gate (it's best to have pure-as-the-driven-snow bass at the input - that's where the threshold/envelope detector is); It'll most-likely go on the output-side.

Put the verb on the output side. IMO gated verb sucks. YMMV though.

I like it. It gets a good variety of sounds and it seems to add a bit of low end on certain settings. I use it to get a Larry Graham-esque solo tone in conjunction with the muff, so I keep the Speed and Depth at 3 o' clock and the Regen at 9 o' clock. It's nice and fat, and it's a good value for 40 dollars. There's no tone-suck that I can hear. I plan on putting sound clips up eventually.

Are you sure the NS's threshold being at 3 o clock sounds good to u? I used to have it at that setting but it added some like ugly overdriven little static thing on low notes. So i lowered it to 2 clock and it's gone. so that was the problem lol just wondering if the same thing occures to u lol

my pedal board is the same now. But I found a way to get sweet natural distortion. On songs I want to have OD/DIST. I turn the second bass slider on my GEB7 EQ pedal u to 7, 8 ish and I have my EQ and compression set so that with plucked notes the sound is normal and fat and loud but on every slapped note it's perfectly distorted and natural but not affecting plucked notes at all. better than with my ol Ibanez PD7 distortion pedal that I don't have in my loop, and not ugly natural distortion that you would get with a dif setup. guess it depends on bass and amp but it works with my setup.

So basically i have a distortion pedal and it's called a slap lmao. But on regular songs when there's no distortion i'll turn that bass EQ slider down so it doesn't distort slapped notes. Just something I had to share. and it's not like oh an ugly overdriven or distorted note or one that isn't that thick that you usually get by raising a bass slider on an EQ pedal. It's more of an overdrive sound. I kinda like the technique i get with this where on notes i want distorted I can slap those and then with my fingers I can play normal notes at the same time .

For example, this isn't an actual riff I made or anything just something I'm saying for example where it'd be useful.

you can see how the D's are slapped and produce overdrive/distortion and then the A's and D's on the D and G strings are clean. can't do it fast and smoothly with a pedal. AGAIN I THINK THAT THIS TYPE OF OVERDRIVE/DISTORTION THAT IS NATURAL bY OVERDRIVING WITH THE SECOND BASS SLIDER ON MY EQ AND HAVING IT THICK AND AS GOOD AS A PEDAL IS DUE TO MY STRINGS, AMP, AND BASS AND EFFECTS LAYOUT. NOT SURE IF IT'D SOUND THICK ON YOUR EQUIPMENT. : ). so don't say it can't sound good lmao I was surprised that it sounded good on my equipment. normally this type of overdrive sucks but not my case lol

ALSO IT'S NOT AS HEAVY AS SAY SOME KORN DISTORTION BUT FOR 70'S STYLE OZZY STYLE 70'S ROCK OVERDRIVE/DISTORTION IT SOUNDS JUST LIKE IT.

I love it! I run it before my compressor to get a nice tubey compression on it, and it sounds great. I have the tone set fully counter-clockwise, but have a little problem with feedback. That's the only bad thing about it really. Heard others say otherwise, but I think it's great for bass.
