Its the 4th disnortion David made. I kept buggin him at NAMM last year for one because im a bass overdrive junkie. Its not painted and it has a blue LED for the one thats supposed to be red so I got two blues now!! (that means I get more bass

Hey Gandhi, how's that DSD-3? It seems like it would be a really cool pedal, do you use the sample function much?

Thanks guys. It basically covers all my needs.
The only other effect I've considered is a BSW solely for its coveted octave feature. Coupled with the LBM and the BOB (perhaps a chorusy delay too) and i've got a suprisingly decent synth sound.
Plus, I just snagged that DSD off the 'bay in PRISTINE condition for less than a new DD-3, so I felt an update was needed (it replaced a DD-20 that I felt was simply too much for bass needs, I would never use 3/4 of it's features).
EDIT: the DSD is great. The 'board is the same as the DD-2 board so it sounds very analog (which was my main concern, but i also wanted the longer delay times of digital). As for the sample feature, it can only hold up to 800ms (and it only plays for as long as you hold the pedal down for; toggle would have been preferrable, but this works fine), but what i've been using it for is recording voice(or anything) and playing it back and messing with the delay time to change the pitch. It's cool for pink floyd-esque sounds. (and PERFECT for nailing the end of Warpigs

Speaking of bright LEDs, I offered to replace my friends TU-2 LEDs with bright blue on the outside, orange in the middle LEDs. It would up the draw about 100mA, but it would look kickass. He was complaining about not being able to tune at an outdoor gig. When I lit up one of the LEDs for him on my workbench, he made the mistake of looking at one straight on (I forget the exact #, but they're around 7000mcd). He hasn't asked about it since.
Remember, it's not your fault that he looked at it. You didn't tell him to do so. He did it of his own will.

It's about time for an update, I've been doing a bunch of stuff to my board, but I think I like where it is at for now....
New things include the EHX Small Stone, Deluxe Memory Man, and Micro Synth, as well as the RC-2 and Pickup booster. (actually thats about everything that was on my board being replaced).
Signal path is as follows: Tuner > TBD > Booster > RC-2.
Then in the loop of the TBD it goes: Loooper which contains the Synth > Wah > Tube Factor > Small Stone > Memory Man.
I had my Muff hooked up after the Synth for a little bit (had it mounted on a couple blocks of wood over the synth) but I found I could get a pretty awesome straight fuzz out of the synth as well as many other sounds.

Great big pedals! The Boss looks like a midget with it's legs cut off compared to the rest of the board.

Haha Yeah. I always look at the guitarist's boards in my band and think its funny my board is so much bigger than theirs. But then I realize they have a lot more pedals, they are all just smaller than mine. I should probably start a rumor on the board that the bigger the pedal the better the bass response is.
my guitarist (probably thanks to me) has all of a sudden taken on a minimalist pedalboard approach... he's got a phase and a boost. he used to have more...
i'm too lazy to build my own or clean it up, but here's what's in it...
