Post Your Pedalboard - Part II

Wow. Lots of controversial pedals on that board (barring the Muffn and XXL).

Looks like you'd have a pretty unique sound though. ;-D That's what it's all about.

That's why I play a Harmony P. I love that thing.

Wish I could say the same for my amp... or my infinte pedal GAS.

Yeah, lots of people are very opinionated about Boss. Some love, some hate.... some like it a little.

The Bootzilla is supposed to be pretty fragile and not worth it. The phase and Apex PF are just a matter of taste. Once again, some poeple love them, others have problems with them.

I guess it's not really controversy... uh I gotta go...

i dig on the phase 90, but i only use it for one part of one song with this band. that and it's kind of sucks that it doesn't have a level control on it. i stole it from my one of my guitarists cause he hates it. the aphex stays on but is very subtle. as far as the boss pedals go, the chorus was acquired very cheap and the odb3 is just another sound in my land o' overdrive. i want to build another board that is nothing but od's and distortions cause i'm nasty like that.
and this will be in the middle of it...

I've been admiring that "Bass Bully" for quite some time, but I'm just not at a place where I'm ready to shell out $525 for an overdrive. I've gone around $250 a couple of times, and I've been trying to talk myself into the $350 or whatever of the Blueberry, but I'm not there yet. :hmm: Looks nice though. :)

+1

Same here. I've seen all the dirty boy pedals at pedalgeek and even heard a guitarist trying out one of the other overdrive pedals while I was there.
It sounded good but for $500, an overdrive gets into the ridiculous category unless it sounds stellar.

My pedal chain is Ibanez SR400 bass > Digitech Whammy 4 > Boss NS2 > NS2 Send > Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi Distortion Pedal (Made in NYC) > Boss GEB7 EQ > NS2 Return > Boss CEB3 chorus > my amp which is an Ampeg BA112

Will get some pics in the next few days.

+2. I got twitchy spending $300 on a Woolly Mammoth (which I returned, becuase I didn't like the sound enough to justify keeping it for part-time duty). A $500 pedal would need to make me sound like_(insert deity of your choice)_ to justify it.
