Here's a layout of how I'm currently re-organizing my board:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

The signal chain is as follows:

AMP <= EHX Clone Theory <= EBS Multicomp <= Morley Power Wah <= EHX Little Big Muff <= EHX Bass Micro Synthesizer <= BASS

In addition, I'm placing my footswitch on the board (it's that gray thing in the bottom-right corner).

You might be wondering where the tuner pedal went... I'm shipping my Planet Waves tuner to D'Addario to have the LED hum issue corrected (it was one of the first-gen ones with the hum problem - later shipments have been corrected). After it's fixed, I plan on trading it for a rack tuner.

Basically, that leaves one free space around where the LBM currently is - I might stick a custom-made blend pedal there from Barge Concepts, but I'm not 100% on that yet. I might also put another effect there instead... not sure what, though. I've got my overdrive already covered by my amp. Maybe a modulation effect?

Oh, and if anyone knows of a good way to tune a bass online, PM me the website... not having a tuner for two weeks is going to suck. :(

Dude, you know how to search in places other than TB, right? This took me 10 seconds to find. ;)

For once, the thought hadn't occurred to me

...good thing I get off work at 12! :D

I like those images better than the guitargeek pics...where'd you get them? or did you make them yourself? how do they affect your tone? :D

I made them myself in Microsoft Visio.

Actually, using blue arrows makes my board sound better, so I'll be changing those red and green ones out soon :D

Hey MysticBoo, Whats the deal with the Planet Waves tuner? Mine has some buzz going on when its tuning, I thought it was due to the gain is was using. Do you have to send these in and pay to have the fixed or what?

Here's the info on the issue, along with a link to the Return Authorization form.

Fill it out, and they'll send you an e-mail with the info you need. All you'd have to pay for is shipping to them.

The problem is only with the pedals in the earliest shipments, and you don't have to pay to have it fixed.

Do you like having the comp after the effects? I've never liked the way it sounds, kinda kills the effects IMO.

It depends on what kinds of effects are involved. My Multicomp, in its place in the diagram, smooths out the sound of my Little Big Muff a bit, and keeps the wild treble sweeps of my Power Wah in check.

It actually does benefit the Bass Micro Synth when it's in front, and it really doesn't do anything for it in its current place. It's the only reason why I'm not sure if the Multicomp should stay where it is.

..maybe I should just rearrange everything again :D

dude... just go by ear!

haha, the only way I can do that effectively is if I know one string is in tune... tuning off the guitarist could help...

Heh, I figured you'd mention that.

I'm not too great at tuning by ear, although I'm much better than my guitarist brother. Believe me, you'd rather not tune off of him... he's the kind of kid who has always refused to use a tuner for his drop-D tuning changes, and has always been shocked by the bad result when I force him to double-check his tuning with a tuner pedal. :scowl:

He can shred, though :D

Well, I finally bought my first real pedalboard! :hyper:

I got a very good deal on one of the new Gator boards with powersupply and nylon case, like this one:

I haven't put my pedals on there yet (all of them won't fit  ) I plan to mount just the ones that I gig with, Planet Waves Tuner, Daddy-O, Big Muff, Cool Cat and A/B switch.

Unfortunately I don't have a way to take/post pics right now but that will change soon. :hmm:
