For suggestions on a blender, search on "blender". We have threads about them all the time. If you need an all-in-one device that allows both mixing of line-level and passive instrument-level signals, and a blendable fx loop, you're looking at a small desktop mixer instead. Yamaha, Behringer, and Samson are some makers of those.

Ive read tons on the LBM omar_basspr.. I just whanted another opinion.. Been readin about the English Muff'n.. Seems to have gotten the best reviews.. but the price is not that great imo.. :( Ill check out the LBM.. 4 sure.. thanks for the answers.. :)

The LBM is more a muff than a muff'n. They're different enough that a few here have both on their board. Are you looking for fuzz(LBM) or overdrive (muff'n)? If you want overdrive, the LBM is going to be cheaper, but not necessarily do what you're looking for.

This is all suprred on by the fact that my Frostwave Funk-A-Duck came this morning. It's great. Totally insane. You have to be really careful with the settings. I've rattled my speaker cones a little too much with both low and high frequencies this morning.

Im actually looking for a Fuzz.. Overdrive Ive got plenty.. Both from the Amp and the lended Bass Drive pedal from Moollon.. :D

I actually just need it to get that gnarly edge to my Moog-synth sound.. I use the Qtron and Multiplexer to get my Fretless to sound the way I whant those ol fat mooglines to come across.. Ive tried the SynthBass pedal from EHX.. dident do it for me @ all.. :rollno:

As Ill be using it in a loop.. the pop/click sound when activated that someone warned about is not an issue for me..

I'm one of those guys that jucas mentioned with both an LBM and a Muff'n on my board. I use the Muff'n for gritty OD and the LBM for smooth fuzz. The Muff'n is only a distant cousin to the rest of the Muff family.

I have a EHX Bass Micro Synth as well, and as many wonderful and weird things as it does, I don't love the fuzz sound in it either.

The LBM is a great place to look for bass fuzz...and the price is good, too!

Thanks for the kind words!. It was quite the laborious effort to keep everything on there neat and tidy. As you may have noticed my signal chain jumps around a lot from the way the board is laid out. Thats so I can turn multiple effects on or off at the same time.

The guitarist in my band built the board itself. From there I taped off the areas where the velcro would be placed. I then sprayed the whole thing with truck bed liner. I hate the way carpet collects dust and gets its rat-fur like qualities. The spray appears to be holding up quite well. I really recommend any DIYers to give this a try.

The case itself was built by a really awesome local case maker, King Kase. He'll build you any case, any size, to any specs, and does so very quickly and very fairly priced. I took my board in to have him measure it up and build it to ATA flight specs. He had it done in less than a week!

I took some more pics (twist my arm...) to give you a little better of any idea of whats going on with my board and the case.

Nice board, old skool!

I'm working (slowly) on a similar, but smaller, setup built into a standard ATA briefcase modified with lift-off hinges. Mine will have power outlets and Neutrik 1/4" locking jacks for in and out mounted flush in the top right corner of the board. I only have 5 pedals (including tuner), so I don't need much space. All cable routing will be beneath the surface of the board. With the exception of a master bypass bypass and English Muff'n, which will remain in a fixed location, the cabling will run through slots in the board allowing for easy swapping of pedals without having to drill more holes in the board. I'm also considering adding an auxillary power outlet on the board for an effect like an EHX BMS which needs a special power supply.

I really need to get on the ball with finishing it up. I have all the parts, I just need the time to do it.
