Post Your Pedalboard - Part III

Mentally, I've put the P&C into a group of many other hefty pedals like the Malekko B:ASSMASTER, Wolftone Choas, Subdecay Noisebox, etc. Because of this, I don't think I'll get a P&C. I think I'll find one of the other pedals better suited (and more versatile) for my needs.

FWIW, the Hotcake is probably my favorite pedal at the moment. :D

Nothing huge yet, as I'm just getting into this effects malarky. But theres a DHA VT2 Dual Bass, Tonefactor 442, Guyatone MD-3 and Boss TU2!

moog - i thought about that when i wrote it, but I'm too lazy to change it!

Jetpack - Thanks very much. It pretty awesome. I leave the first channel on all the time as a nice valve warmth and kick in the second for a lovely amount of valve distortion! Love it!

How do you like that DHA? I'd love to hear more about it. I know they are available on Ebay, but your the first person I've seen with one.

Thanks

As i said, the DHA is great. Got this one off a bloke from ex-bassworld.co.uk...now basstalk.co.uk. It didnt work when i got it, but sent it off to DHA and he replied to emails quickly and fixed it in no time. Excellent service.

I can get quite a range of tones...with the first channel on quite low gain its just adds a nice warmth, add more gain and it gets a bit crankier. Kick in the second stage and you know about it then! Really warm valve crunch and distortion...I highly reccommend it. I believe DHA is/or about to set up a US DHA in Texas i think.

Theres a more expensive version of this also with bass, mid and treble knobs, which I can only imagine sounding even better than this one!

Cheers

I've been talking to Dave of DHA for a while, he's a very nice and helpful guy. He did set up an arrangement for a DHA representative in TX, but it's not going so well, so he's looking for a different US connection. He has posted a few times here on TB, so don't be surprised if he shows up. ;) A search will turn up at least one other TB'er with a DHA unit, a custom rackmount job. Also, I noted over on the former bassworld site that there are a number of UK bassists using his pedals.

Dave sent me one of his pedals to review if you search for it you'll find it with soundclips and pics etc.

He is a nice guy even when I accused him of building crap that couldn't possibly work, so he sent me a pedal to prove me wrong. :D
